Magdalena
Photographing Magdalena made me aware of how much of a place is first understood indirectly: through movement, weather, family rhythms, car windows, and the brief scenes that appear before you know what to do with them.
Less a complete portrait than an edit of what kept catching my eye, this collection sits somewhere between travel record and visual study.

The Place
I arrived in Magdalena through family, not itinerary. The trip moved between meals, errands, coast roads, traffic, beaches, and long drives through Santa Marta and nearby towns.
The Frame
I often photographed from the edge of things: from the back seat of a car, through windows, across traffic, or from just outside a scene. What began as hesitation became a way of working.
Through the Window
Passing views where the city appears in fragments, caught between traffic, glass, and motion.
Street Level
The street’s everyday theatre, where colour, commerce, humour, and interruption share the same frame.
Room to Look Around
A quieter turn toward coast, shade, and distance, where the pace of the trip briefly opens up.
